The unique way the beans spill is meant to give a chance to make words in a variety of ways. If you don’t especially care for one pattern, hit New Game again and you may get something more to your liking. If you notice some “wasted” space where beans never appear (especially on iPhone X, for example), there’s a reason for that (see the FAQ on “Why the weirdness when I rotate my device?”). We want everyone to have the same move-by-move experience no matter what device they have.
