As mentioned in the user guide, a flexible play-the-odds approach, as opposed to counting on certain letters appearing to make words you’ve already imagined, is often recommended. That said, one of the especially fun things in the game is the sudden scoring cascade you trigger when you get one hoped-for letter to put in a crucial position you’ve left open. There are times when you set things up with an eye toward a not-too-unreasonable set of letters to appear, not necessarily scoring so many points along the way. It’s a calculated risk. Then one game-changing letter appears, engorging the word list and raising your score by a hundred points or more. It does happen. So when you do light it up, leave the counting to us, drink in the points and feel the earn!
